I was here for 5 days. 1) the breakfast buffet had more than decent selection given the scale of the hotel (and for reference; was better quality than the buffet offerings at the upscale hotel I stayed at in Kobe) 2) honestly, the location is kind of the middle of nowhere, which worked out for me, but can’t really recommend it as a base camp if you need quick access to regional transit. I gather they don’t get a lot of international tourists here. But, it was pretty close to a bus line that got me where I needed to be, there’s a really big thrift store and Daiso situated fairly close by, there are some great little cafes in the area, and the local shrine/adjacent park and pond are all genuinely really beautiful and peaceful. Locals were a bit apprehensive of me at first but ended up being some of the warmest folks I’ve had the pleasure to meet in all my time here. 3) the staff was a really fun crew. I felt really looked after. they went above and beyond to help me with local transit, had great suggestions for things to do locally/nearby in Yanagawa, and they helped me a TON with my Japanese- seriously changed my whole game. I’ve had unbelievable responses in every place I’ve visited since here as a result of my evening tutoring in Okawa haha. I would seriously go back just to visit all the people- they were that kind. Definitely a slower pace, but a good place to decompress and reconnect with the non-digital world.

No breakfast available but staff provided a print out in English of nearby locations we could get breakfast. As we were only staying one night and heading off early this was no problem for us. The location is near a train station so you could use as a base and travel on trains to explore as well.

The room was spacious and comfortable. It was quiet, the view was nice. The staff was really polite and helpful. The breakfast was included in the reservation. It was just toast and butter, nothing fancy. Considering there s nowhere to eat nearby it was convenient.

Leonore

Hotel breakfast only breads, yogurt, juices, coffee & tea included with the room rate that good enough. I am not breakfast person, happy just only coffee. Very happy with hotel parking, it makes a lot easier when you get there at night time.

Duangduen

Easy to locate the property. Good option for one night stopover. Many parking spaces, nice staff and size of room is ok. Clean and you got everything in the room. Price is very reasonable.
